Jackson and Clark Counties’ beautiful wilderness areas have a combined 235 miles of trails open to ATVing and off-road motorcycling—100 miles in Jackson and 135 miles in Clark. The landscape’s rolling ruggedness and great natural beauty is truly unique in the Midwest. Riders will find 335,000 acres of public forest, municipal ordinances favorable to motorized trail riding, and hundreds of miles of designated trails - everything the modern off-roader demands.

The area also boasts a relatively long ATV season and numerous lodging establishments and businesses that cater to off-roaders. Riders will immediately recognize the area’s wholehearted welcome. Plus, Jackson and Clark counties are further south than other off-road destinations, making it closer and more convenient for travelers from population centers located to the south. Jackson and Clark counties are truly at The Center of Off-Road Wisconsin!

Open Season for ATVing

All Jackson County Trails will be open to ATVs on Saturday, February 28 at 6am. The trails are still open to Snowmobiles - (but) if the temperature exceeds 38 degrees then the snowmobile trails will be closed too.

Jackson & Clark Counties’ combined seasons allow ATVers nearly ten and one half months of ATVing.

Jackson County – 100 miles of ATV Trails

Clark County – 135 miles of ATV Trails
Open May 1 – Mar 15
